Ravindra Dhangekar’s political career started from Shiv Sena. After that he settled in Raj Thackeray’s MNS for a long time. While in the MNS, Dhangekar was known as a very loyal worker of Raj Thackeray. He worked in many important positions in MNS. Dhangekar’s political career rose from here. But later he changed his party again and chose to join the Congress. Dhangekar has been elected as a corporator for as many as 4 times. They claim that they have done a lot of development work in the town during this period
Dhangekar adopted BJP leader and city MP Girish Bapat’s style of putting his hand on the shoulder of a common worker and empowering him, and this is why Dhangekar was known as ‘Aapla manus,Kamacha Manus’ in the town.
